The US Government has constantly acknowledged the significance of trade-related infrastructure and efficient transportation as critical to improving its citizen’s quality of life and developing a strong economy. Transportation infrastructure reinforces the backbone of the economy allowing people to commute to their jobs and businesses to send goods across the nation.

Economic growth has always been dependent on the rationality and increasing the capacity of transport.

President Obama has abundantly expressed his commitment to creating jobs and improving the economy by undertaking several initiatives, among them, strengthening the country’s infrastructure. “There’s never been a better time to build”, the President said in his State of the Union speech earlier in 2012.
